On November 25, 2022, within the framework of “Building System MRV and Knowledge Management” component of the UNDP/GCF project “De-risking and Scaling-up Investment in Energy Efficient Building Retrofits”, a seminar was held on creating a MRV system and developing a template for a certificate of energy characteristics of buildings (ECB).
The seminar was attended by Deputy Minister of Environment Gayane Gabrielyan, Acting Director of the EPIU Armen Yesoyan, international experts Stanislav Andreev and Alexander Stankov, representatives of government agencies, specialists interested in the energy sector.
Issues related to energy certification of old and new buildings under construction in Armenia were discussed at the meeting.
During their presentations, international experts presented the example of Bulgaria and stressed the importance of upcoming actions in the context of coordinating the certification process, retraining specialists, comparing existing certificates and other issues. A new energy efficiency certificate template developed by international experts was also presented.
