On August 1, 2018, in Dilijan city took place the concluding workshop for presentation of “Strengthening land-based adaptation capacity in communities adjacent to protected areas in Armenia”, project. During workshop were present the deputy minister of Ministry of Nature Protection A. Ghazaryan, director of “EPIU” SA M. Galstyan, heads of Dilijan and Urtsadzor communities A. Santrosyan and R. Andreasyan, representatives of Fioletovo and Mrgahovit communities, councilors and representatives of administrative territories, representatives of Tavush, Lori and Ararat provincial administrations, employees of Ministry of Nature Protection and “EPIU” SA, representatives of “Dilijan National Park” and “Khosrov Forest” State Reserve” state non-profit organizations, as well as the experts included in the project. With the opening speech was presented director of “EPIU” SA M. Galstyan, then deputy director S. Baloyan presented the project. Deputy minister A. Ghazaryan highlighted the importance of the pilot project and the social-economic meaning for the targeted communities. Experts M. Galstyan (agriculturist), G. Santrosyan (gardener), N. Arshakyan (herbalist), A. Khachatryan (engineer-builder), S. Khachatryan (hydro-engineer), and E. Sargsyan (cartographer), have presented their reports, after which have answered to the questions of the workshop participants.
