Grant project aims to strengthen the capacity of “EPIU” SI in the areas of environmental, social and gender risk management and evaluation. As well as align its procedures and policies with the ones of Adaptation Fund.

“Fire-fighting capacity building in “SPNA”s, acquirement of necessary equipment” program
In the frameworks of “Fire-fighting capacity building in “SPNA”s, acquirement of necessary equipment” program supported by the Caucasus Nature Fund, “EPIU” SI has signed a procurement contract. According to which it is envisaged to acquire pickup vehicles and fire-fighting equipment and supplies for “Khosrov Forest” State Reserve and “Dilijan” National Park SNCOs.
“Improvement of Specially Protected Nature Areas (SPNA) management system of the Republic of Armenia through strengthening of international cooperation and capacity building of SPNA managing staff” project
The British Embassy in Yerevan and the ”Environmental Projects Implementation Unit” SI have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the implementation of ” “Improvement of Specially Protected Nature Areas (SPNA) management system of the Republic of Armenia through strengthening of international cooperation and capacity building of SPNA managing staff” project. The project envisages implementation of knowledge and needs assessment of the SPNA managing staff, organization of qualification courses, as well as publication of collections on legal documents and, natural and cultural heritage existing in SPNAs of Armenia.
