Contract conclusion with the ”Regional Environmental Centre for the Caucasus” Armenian office
On the 6th of July of this year ”Environmental Projects Implementation Unit” SI and the “Regional Environmental Centre for the Caucasus” Armenian office signed an agreement on the elaboration of the 6th national report on the implementation of the Convention on Biological Diversity. The signing ceremony was attended by the representatives of the RoA Ministry of Nature Protection, “EPIU” SI, “REC” Caucasus Armenian Office and the National Coordinator for the implementation of the Convention.
Contract conclusion at “EPIU” SI
A working meeting took place at “EPIU” SI office on the 6th of August 2018. During the mentioned meeting an agreement with “Geomapis” LLC, the winner of the tender announced by “EPIU” SI, was signed to develop the National Report on implementation of “UN Convention to Combat Desertification” in Armenia during 2017-2018. The meeting was attended by the members of the working group of “Geomapis” LLC, the national coordinator of the Convention and the head of “EPIU” SI. The National Coordinator presented the methodology of elaboration of the national report. As well as, some clarifications were given in response to the questions raised by the working group members.
Working meeting at EPIU
On July 2nd a working meeting was held at EPIU SA in the frames of UNDP/GCF “De-risking and scaling-up investment in energy efficiency building retrofits” project. The meeting was attended by the representatives of UNDP Yerevan office, Director of EPIU Mr.Galstyan, Deputy Director Mr.St. Baloyan, Heads of Departments, specialists. The final workshop on the project “Technology needs assessment” implemented with the support of UNEP/DTU partnership was held in UNDP Yerevan office on July 11, 2017.
The director of “Environmental project implementation unit” State Agency Mr. Gevorg Nersisyan, Mr. Aram Gabrielyan UNFCCC focal point in Armenia, adaptation and mitigation component coordinators of the project Mr. V. Melikyan and T. Sekoyan, representatives from the National assembly of the RA, Ministry of Nature Protection, international organizations, NGOs and other departments participated in the workshop.
