Conference in Artik city
The conference took place on February 8-th this year in Artik Municipality. The mayor of Artik city, responsible officials from the city hall staff, the director, deputy director and heads of departments of EPIU SO, as well as community representatives included in the program took part in the meeting. The director of EPIU presented the concept of the project, planned activities and implementation deadlines. An interesting conversation took place on the concepts pf the project.

In October 2018, the Adaptation Fund Board under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change approved “Artik city closed stone pit wastes and flood management pilot project” developed by the ”Environmental Project Implementation Unit ” State Institution of the Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia costing 1,435,100 USD. Green Climate Fund Approves Readiness and Preparatory Support Grant Proposal
The Grant will assist in establishing and strengthening the capacities of the Ministry of Nature Protection of Armenia and strategic frameworks for engagement with the Fund, including the preparation of country programmes and will support appropriate oversight of Fund activities at the country level.
